Went to a casting audition the other week and met an actress. We talked and I ended up sending her a short script I wrote. Had to rewrite the format cause most of whatever I write is in comic script form. It was a fun challenge that I think came out well. She liked it and showed to another actress and they're both interested in make this into a short film. Next thing I knew I got Camera and an editor!

So now its time to slow down and try to get this done right. Its exciting and scary and is gonna be a hell of a ride! This is earliest dream to make a film. from junior high school on Ive wanted to do this. Then music and FEAR sidetracked alot of that. Well now Ive gotten past the FEAR (i hope) and have been buckling down, tryin to get at as much updated info I can on making this happen.

Not doing anything else so why not follow my dreams for awhile...

Music

Went to the studio thrus, finally got some ground work laid on my new/old project. The singer couldnt make it so it was just drums (me) and guitars. 5 hrs later we managed to plow through 6 old songs and 1 maybe 2 new 1s should get easier once the singer get involved.

Also if your gonna play music for the 1st time in awhile, make sure you WARM UP 1st!!! 2days later im still feeling a little stiff.

Comics!!

I was out with my son today and we picked up Greek Street (for me) and Freddy vs Jason vs Ash (for him) trades. We really liked the FvJ movie and the store didn't have any action figures of them so I got that for him.
We went to the park after and while he was playing, I read FvJvA. Holy shit it was good!





It picks up 5 yrs after the movie with the 2 survivors of FvJ and just starts steam rolling ahead from there. I thought the writing was dead on, Ash sounded like Bruce and Freddy like Robert. It was excited and well paced. It was just a fun read for me and the art was good too. I really would've loved to see this as a movie but Ill take this as the next best thing to it.
Im kinda curious to read the actual screenplay for this. Im gonna have to get the sequel to this, The Nightmare Warriors now. Also wanna see if those Army of Darkness comics are just as fun.










Started reading Greek Street but felt a little weird reading it in a play ground.

Heres a few reviews of a couple of books ive read lately



Superheroes and Villians leave the world. I wasnt expecting anything from this i just got the whole series on a blind whim. I think this is/was Michael Oeming & Taki Soma 1st full on collaboration.

Names a little miss leading, I Thought was gonna have more religious overtones. The art was solid but the story was a little to vague. Left too many questions for me and the ending felt rushed or more like "fuck, how do we end this?" "I know!"
Maybe it needed to be another issue longer or just tighten up more to fit more story in. Id be interested if they do a sequel to this.

It wasnt horrible it was just ok to me. That said, id check out another project they do I really enjoyed the look of this
